Accessibility at GrantAmp.
How we test against WCAG 2.1 Level AA, what we fixed, and how to report a barrier.
Last updated 2026-10-03.
Our commitment
GrantAmp targets WCAG 2.1 Level AA for the public site and the signed in companion. This page is the accessibility statement procurement and disability services offices can link to.
The product uses a single dark theme with tested contrast on text, surfaces, and the electric accent. GrantAmp does not ship a separate light theme.
What we tested
On 2026-10-03 we reviewed every public route, the NIH guide pages GrantAmp generates, and the signed in flows (applications, workspaces, readiness, billing, and what changed). The checklist lives in docs/trust/accessibility-audit.yaml in the repository.
21 surfaces are listed in that file with their paths. Findings are tracked by WCAG criterion with a status of fixed, pass, or limitation.
Measures in the product
Skip to main content on every page with the site header.
One main landmark per view, page titles and headings that match the route table, and visible focus rings on keyboard focus.
Form controls use visible or screen-reader labels; status and alert regions use aria-live or role where results update without a full reload.
Touch targets on primary controls aim for at least 44 by 44 CSS pixels where GrantAmp owns the control.
Motion respects prefers-reduced-motion for smooth scrolling.
Known limitations
Sign in, sign up, and Stripe checkout rely on Clerk and Stripe widgets; labels and focus are delegated to those providers.
Feedback
If you hit a barrier on GrantAmp, email hello@grantamp.com with the page address, what you tried to do, and the browser or assistive technology you use. We treat accessibility reports as product bugs.
